Dunlop continues contract

Dunlop who has been the only tire supplier for the Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships has decided to continue the contract that has ended with the 2014 season. Dorna Sports has announced that the contract has been renewed and Dunlop will also be securing tires for the 2015 championships.

This agreement comes with additional clauses from Dunlop who will now be advertised any a lot of ways during the intermediate and lightweight FIM MotoGP races. Apparently starting with the 2015 season all bikes will have to have a Dunlop sticker on them and also the winners will be rewarded with Dunlop marked caps upon finishing the race. More than this each track will feature a Dunlop banner on the side.

In a statement made after the signing of the deal Pau Serracanta of Dorna Sports said that the company was happy to continue the collaboration with Dunlop seeing how this was the basis on which the sports developed to what it is what the moment. He continued to say that mostly due to the collaboration with Dunlop on Moto2 and Moto3 have some riders made their way to MotoGP.

In the same press release, Sanjay Khanna of Dunlop also stated that the company he is representing is happy on the deal as Moto2 and Moto3 are very exciting championships and enjoy a big fanbase. He also said that Dunlop is very happy with the increased promotion they will be receiving in those classes following the new terms of the deal they have signed with Dorna Sports.
